We’re happy to announce a new employee has joined us at Scientific Plant Service: Bob Boyer! With his expertise in turf and knowledge of plant health practices, Bob will be a great addition to the SPS team as Plant Healthcare Advisor. Bob has worked in the Mid-Atlantic region for his entire career, which has allowed him to overcome challenges through tough growing conditions season after season.
Bob is an Anne Arundel County native who currently resides in Arnold, MD. He attended Penn State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Science in 2001. His career began at South River Golf Course in Edgewater, MD on the Turf Care Staff. He was then quickly promoted to the First Assistant Superintendent position where he remained until early 2005. Bob’s career path moved him to Cattail Creek Country Club in Glenwood, MD as the Assistant Golf Course Manager; then in May 2006, he became the Golf Course Superintendent at Mt. Pleasant Golf Course in Baltimore. He is also an 18-year member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the GCSAA. Now, Bob will join the SPS team and bringing his expertise in turf and his knowledge of plant health practices.
